I started this site because I'm tired of getting labeled. From now on, if I'm going to have a label, it's going to be on my own terms. I AM A MANDALORIAN. It's a fictional culture with real-world ethics and values that I would be happy to apply to my own life. Come join us and have a blast.

I find it hard to get used to being labeled. I too don't think there is a real need, just as long as you keep to the Mando Armour. In what ever shape of form a Lable should not be applied.... Clan symbols and the like yes if wanted. But Keep it Mando, and Keep it looking good....

I don't see labels as much as exclusions because of our choice in costuming. Organizations like the 501st, Reb Legion, and Jedi Assembly give lables to those who basically "conform" to the normal view of Star Wars.
Thats why I came up with the idea for Mandalorian Mercs. It's not about labels, but it's about a place where we as costumers who don't want to be troopers, jedi, vader, ect can have our own place and represent on our own terms.
There are some awesome forums like TDH and HV&M, but what they haven't done other then be a meeting place is become a group of representation for those of us who don't want to be constrained into what someone else says is right by Star Wars.
Thats the essence behind Mercs. It doesn't give you a label, it gives you a place to show off what you've done without an invitation. |

Well, the label thing came from people being labeld things like the following ... Goth, Nerd, Jock, Christian, Sinner, Conservative, Liberal ... I just said "F&ck it, I'm a Mando!"

Oh yeah, I definitely know what you mean there. I just ignore them all. Hell, I make more money in a day then most of them make in a week now, and I think it's funny as hell when the tables are turned. So now I put my energy into promoting "nerdy" things like a Star Wars costuming club =D My motto is "Know your strengths and be good at them." Mine's being nerdy, geeky, and...nerdy.
