Sun May 13, 2007 5:45 pm   Introducing...

I'm Jim. I'm the administrator here along with Novall Talon, Lynn Fett, and Kyp. I know some members have been here for a few weeks now, but if you would, please, intorduce yourselves here in this forum so we can all get to know each other. If you are a Clan Leader, please say so. This way, new members can familiarize themselves with the clans and their leadership. If you are a representative from another Mandalorian website, feel free to post a link. Thank you.

I'm Jim's wife, Lynn. I'm an Air Force mechanic and I love my job. I'm a huge football fan, and I love the idea of being a Mandalorian. It seems cool, and since being a Jedi and a Catholic didn't work for me, I figured... What the hell?

I'm Garth, and Boba Fett is my role model. At least for the morals and stuff. I am from Washington, and I am without a clan. Blah blah blah ^_^

Crix, if you would like a clan assignment, just PM one of the clan leaders. I'm sure you can find a clan that you can fit in with.

Well, I'm only 16, so I'm not sure if I could. But when I turn 18, I do hope to join the Mando Mercs.

Finally got around to doing this =D

My character name is Novall Talon, real name is Tom. I've been in love with Mandalorians since 1983 when I saw RoTJ in the theater =D

I played Novall Talon in Star Wars Galaxies for a touch over 3 years before I left the game. At the time, Mandalorian Mercs was the largest Mandalorian guild on the server and one of the largest in the game.

Anyhow, I took my Girlfriend and a couple who are friends of ours to DragonCon last year and saw all the customs standing around. I knew that there was an interest out there...but I didn't know how big it was. After speaking to the reps at the 501st table, i was pretty dismayed to find out that customs had no real organization of their own. Sure there are some forums out there...but that's where it's stopped.

As soon as we got back to the room that night, I told my Gf that I wasn't going to let that be the case. I already knew what I had to do at that point. So, I began researching all of the Mandalorian fan sites I could find and began gathering my ingredients for armor. I spoke to some people here and there about making a club dedicated to only customs that was based loosely on the current costuming clubs out there. Few people were behind it as their are already established forums...and I think at the time people regarded what we are trying to do as just being a forum. Anyhow, I didn't let that stop me, and as we have gotten more people on board I see that there have been people waiting for something like Mercs to come along for awhile now.

Anyhow, I'm being long winded...but to close this up I will say that people say one person can't make a difference. I say that's not true though, because if one person feels a certain way about something...chances are someone else out there does also. The power of combined effort is something that cannot be broken.

P.S. Crixler, we have a cadet or Verd'ika program for under 18 members =)

Really? Nice! Do I need a suit of armor before I can join, though? I have some ideas for my armor, but I haven't even started construction yet. And I don't intend to get a really high quality suit for quite a while, 'cause I might change my design, or I could even grow out of it, I suppose. So if I make my armor anytime soon, it'll just be trashcan armor with a rubies lol

We don't really have standards for armor, we just ask for good or better quality. Verd'ika are pretty much accepted as long as you have a set of armor =D

Hey Jim, does Ruckus have it's own symbol? 'Cause I may decide to incorporate it in my armor where right now i just have that random gray squiggle on my left chest plate.

Edit: New version! <3 lol

Hey! We want a clan symbol too! Maybe Ordo can hook us up with a combination USAF and Mandalorian symbol. *Wink* That's a hint for you, Kyp.

Oh, well, I might as well make an intro if I'm going to use these forums at all. I'm Kire Du'Hai, of clan Ka'ra. Our emblem is my avatar. We basically have the same idea as you guys, applying mando values to our lives and emulating the culture. I think it's great what you all are doing, though it seems to be a bit slow around here. But still, it's really cool. If you all need anything, let me know. Ret'.

Oya Manda!
