The Mandalorian Way

It's taken me awhile to really put into words what my vision is for a Non-Fiction, real-world Mandalorian community, and I think I've finally figured it out.

First, I wish to welcome everyone who have registered. I'm excited to have you here.

My vision for a fully functional Mandalorian community is simple, really. No, I don't think we should dress up in fantastic armor and take over the world. No, I don't think we should study the ways of Mandalorians as described in the Star Wars saga. Not entirely anyway.

In the Star Wars saga, Mandalorians are a misunderstood people. Even fans of the saga have mixed emotions about Mandalorians and their role in the galaxy. They're untrustworthy barbarians who are only concerned with war and destruction and galactic conquest, or they are a nomadic and simple people who posses a strong and unbreakable sense of honor and warrior ethos.

I choose the latter.

In today's world, there is a diminished sense of community. Gone are the days when people could seriously identify with one another without the use of a profile and a Messenger account. True, this is an on-line community, but perhaps we could become more.

I'm a strong believer in being a good son to my parents, father to my child, and husband to my wife. I believe in being a loyal and reliable friend. I believe in serving my country and those I love with Honor and dignity. I believe in showing good judgement and being a man of good character. I believe in honor, integrity, service, and solid constitution. I know that I am not perfect, and when I falter, my ner'vode will be there to keep me on my feet, as I will be there for them. I believe in serving my fellow Mando'ade with distinction.

Mandalrians are most known for their armor. I would love to have a set of custom Mandalorian armor. Some members already have a set... or more. Armor does not make the Mandalorian. It is the heart of the Mandalorian that makes him/her. Mando'ade do not see race, religion, gender or ethnic background. We see the heart.

Mando'ade should not judge their ner'vode. We should counsel.

This is all I have so far. I feel that we should distinguish ourselves from the rest of the world by our actions and how we carry ourselves. To be the type of men and women that others wish to emulate. To project confidence and strength while conducting ourselves reputably and honorably at all times. We should always be beyond reproach and always do the honorable thing even when no one is watching.

That is my vision of of our future...

I love it! By the way ... you ARE a great husband AND father. And your mom thinks you're a great son. I don't know what your dad thinks. LOL

Jim I will help in any way necessary if you need government grant info to start things let me know and I'll get you more then enough info., and if you need help comming up with membership trials or the kind I'll see what I can come up with.

You know in totjf post on Jedi Training DOES Help the idea of Mandalorian history isn't a bad idea in the way of how things in history fail, such as the great civilazations like Egypt, Rome, Sumer, and Babylon.

Just my view on this excellent idea.

I thought a government grant would only apply if we were trying to become an organized religion. That wouldn't work since everyone here is free to practice whatever religion they wish. People can be gay if they wish, so long as it doesn't interfere with your duties as a Mandalorian. As long as you are an honorable person, you can be Mando'ade. Those guidelines are far too loose to be applied to an organized religion ... in my opinion. I could be wrong.

Actually grants can be for anything you want, they have them to start your own company, for women to start a buciness, to expand, for inventions and innovations, so on and so forth.

you can even find one to pay your bills and buy your home.
