I'd like to create a Warrior's Creed, but I don't know where to begin. Any suggestions? I've looked over Zach's ideas and taken some og those into consideration.

to me, the only difference between a warrior and a murderer is honor. Don't know if that helps, or was even necessary to tell YOU, but hey...figured what the hell, couldn't hurt.

As a warrior I shall not shune my duty to kill the weak and mame those who would oppose me.
As a Mandalorian I am the strongest of the group and the best at killing those who would oppose me.
As I serve the Mandalore I serve the strong and distroy the weak, there is no excuse to be afraid no reason to run away, no reason to cry, I am a Mandalorian a warrior and a soldier.
Just my two cents worth.

I found this while erasing a bunch of shit on my comp. It is a quote from someone, don't remember where or even when the hell i found it, but it might help in the creation of somehting. If nothing else its pretty cool...:
"Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool, or a
coward....
Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both....
For a wounded man shall say to his assailant... 'If I live, I will KILL you,
but If I die, you are forgiven...
Such is the rule of HONOR

alright, got it. The only one I could think of was from ruin: This is the resolution
The end of all progress
The death of evolution
It bleeds all life away.
I will show you all that I have mastered
Fear. Pain. Hatred. Power.
This is the art of ruin.(x3)
thats all that was going through my head. Anywho...I like both of 'em...lets just rip off of lamb of god. _________________ I don't think killing Jesus is very christian

Ner'vode akaan. Ner'vode naak. Aliit nau an.
(Couldn't find the Mando'a word for "in", assuming the word is implied by context rather than actually used))
I am a Warrior.
I will rise to any challenge, within reason of Logic.
I will achieve what I set out to accomplish.
Failure is only failure if I fail to learn from my mistakes, therefore failure is not an option.
I will look at what others consider to be impossible as a goal to achieve.
I will turn obstacles into Victory.
I will stand by my word, for my word is my Honor.
I will demonstrate Courage in my endeavors.
I will not prey on the helpless, nor the innocent. Nor will I tolorate those who do.
I will put my Clan above my personal conflicts.
I am Mando'ade.

I like it. Unless any of the other Clan leaders have an objection, I'd say go ahead and put it up on the Home Page. _________________ Locked and loaded ... how life should be lived.

Beautifully poetic. I love it. Couldn't have written a better one myself.

When it comes to a creed for mando'ade, I generally just prefer the plainness of the Resol'Nare... with my own interpretations.
1. Rallying to Mand’alor if called.
This is imperative, as Mand’alore represent the people, and if you are disloyal to them, you betray your people.
2. Contributing to the welfare of the clan.
To be a great mando’ad, one must make the people under their protection great. The ‘how’ is not specified, so go about this with caution. But remember: protecting each other keeps us safe while we plumb the universes’ secrets together.
3. Raising children to be Mando’ade.
This is key to the survival of Mando’ade as a culture. Children are the future; respect them as such. They hold your lives in their hands.
4. Defending family.
Whether fighting foreigners far from home, or staying at home ready to protect when needed, this cannot be stressed enough. Note that this does not say ‘protect the lives of your family members’, but family. Meaning, keep your family together as a family, primarily with the unequivicating trust found in all mando culture.
5. Speaking mando’a.
Language is inseparable from culture, and without it, a culture’s identity is shady at best. Be Mando’ade, and be proud of it.
6. Wearing armor.
While some might argue this is the least important of the Resol’nare, because verd ori’shya beskar’gam – a warrior is more than his armor - it has almost the importance of speaking the language. A mando’ad’s identity is proclaimed most loudly by their armor, and when someone sees a mando’ad wearing armor, there is no doubt left that they are mandalorian. True, the armor does not make the mando, but it is symbolic, for the true strength of a mando’ad is not the toughness of their armor, but the strength of their armored, unassailable hearts.
I don't know what you all think of these interpretations, but that's how I try to apply them to my own life. It may or may not be what you are looking for in a creed. Though... that one you've got there, Ordo, is one I like a lot... succinct and very mandokarla. It might be better overall, at least for use as a creed.

That's a good interpretation of the Resol'nare. But I think that the purpose of this warrior's creed, and please correct me if this was not actually your intention Ordo, is not so much to redefine or supplement the Resol'nare, but rather reword it into a verbal oath with a poetic rhythm. _________________ Verd ori'shya beskar'gam.
