The forum speaks for itself. Anyone interested in becoming the first Mandalore should express why in this thread.
Ability to run a site is a plus, but this is going to be done democratically. My wife and I are NOT going to be candidates for Mandalore.
My endorsements go to Novall Talon and Kyp at this time. If you are interested, sign on here.

Well, I'm not going to speak for myself. I don't toot my own horn =D
I will say that any leader has to have a clear ability as well as the resolve to get things done. Custom costuming clubs that have succeeded in the past have done so because they have strong leaders who arn't afraid to pick up and do the things it takes to succeed.
You have to be able to see the goal before you start the race to finish. Once you do, then you have to find the best route to get their while being fair and honest. Lastly once you are their, you have to be able to let the reins go from time to time. _________________

I don't think the Mandalorians are ready for a leader yet. We're too scattered and independent for the time being. Besides, aruetii opinion of us would be mislead and we would be seen as a cult. Unless of course I'm looking at this too deeply and you just mean a site leader...in that case, my bad. _________________ Verd ori'shya beskar'gam.

I only Serve the MAndalore, besides I haven't been on enough to get to know people or to even think of voting for someone. _________________

I agree with Darasuum. We as a whole just aren't ready for an 'end all, be all' leader, so I'll tell you what that means to me. I believe this is a prime time for those who have the potential and the leadership capabilities to step forward and make yourselves known. Anyone can be made into a leader, but only a select handfull will know how to use the power to its greatest potential.

Thanks B'arin. Mandalore isn't as important of a position as it might seem to be, though. Mandalore is more or less the embodiment of Mandalorian spirit, who can act in the interest of all Mandalorians. Mandalore is the political body, but not necessarily the Mandalorian government. Mandalorians don't need a ruler; we take care of ourselves just fine. We know our laws and we know what is right or wrong; we don't need anyone to tell us that. Being nomadic and scattered, what we do need is a centralizatied executive power to negotiate; Mandalore serves that purpose. Mandalore is more like a diplomat in times of peace and commander in times of war. When aruetii want to contact us, they go through Mandalore. Seeing as how we won't be going to war as a Mandalorian state, and most aruetii don't know we exist as a culture, we have no need for a diplomat or a commander.[/i] _________________ Verd ori'shya beskar'gam.
