The templates, trash can armor, and stuff were from the Dented Helmet... I'll ask them if it's ok to either re-post the stuff here, with credit, or to post links *to* the threads over there that have the info.
As for my stuff...
Here's mine so far. This piece was creamed by a semi, and was left on the side of the road for a few weeks before I salvaged it. It's some kind of aluminum alloy, and pretty hefty at 1/8 inch thick:
And I made a rough cut of the left breastplate today:
Lots of work to do, but there's an official start for you guys

Here's an update... I still have to clean up the shapes, round the edges, most of the corners, and then the back of the plates will have a *thin* layer of closed-cell foam after I shape them to add some cushion and keep them from cutting into the leather undervest, which will also be armor-grade leather.

I was going to do something a bit different with the chest diamond, but decided to go with the traditional rectangle in the center instead.

So far today, I made a planishing stake, re-surfaced one of my happers, and pounded out the breastplates:

Ordo, your's is looking amazing! Purple and silver look really good together.
And for my armor: I have my trash cans, and I intend to print out my templates at Kinko's soon. _________________ Ke nu jur'kad sha Mando'ade, burcya!

Both you guys are doing an awesome job! Crixler, if you need any advice on your armor...ask Untried Hunter as he did the exact same thing your doing =D _________________
Yeah, they both look promising. Crix, Novall, and Josh (Ordo), I'm writing a piece of fan-fiction and I would love to base characters on you. Do I have your permission?

Go right ahead! I have some notes on my character if you want them.
Mmk...
Sec'rix'lernus (Crixler) is a Chiss that wields a lightaxe with a repeater built into the haft. He was born on Talus, in a small city called Mina (Or Myna, I don't remember. It was my guild's city in SWG back when I used to play). Hmm... So that's some of the basics. And I have thought of making him play an ocarina, 'cause I love Zelda games lol. But yeah, I guess that's all that's important. I had a bit more, but it was for a fanfic that I was working on and never really got into... So I guess you're free to do quite a bit! ^_^ _________________ Ke nu jur'kad sha Mando'ade, burcya!

Lookin' good so far, Crixler
Time for another update... I broke my saw, and had to go get another one
I decided to do something a bit different for my collar, since it will be attached to a gorget and I need it to be more flexible for fighting:
And continuing with my color scheme:

Woah! I'm really likin' your colors, Ordo lol. And the collar is pretty cool, too. So what is it you plan on using it for? Sword fighting? _________________ Ke nu jur'kad sha Mando'ade, burcya!
